  • By bus: Regular buses run from Zakopane Bus Station to Bańska Niżna or Szaflary, taking around 20–40 minutes.

From Kraków

  • By car: Take the Zakopianka (National Road 7/E77) toward Nowy Targ, then continue to Szaflary.
  • By bus or train: Travel for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to Zakopane or Nowy Targ first, then take a local bus or taxi to Gorący Potok.

Visitor tips

  • The sulphur scent is completely natural and comes from untreated geothermal water rich in minerals. It is part of the therapeutic experience and a sign of the water’s natural healing properties.
  • Pack a swimsuit, towel, and flip-flops to save on rental costs. You can also bring goggles, a swimming cap, or small inflatables for children.
  • All pools are outdoors, so if you are visiting in winter, wear warm clothes to stay comfortable between dips. Free lockers, showers, and hairdryers are available on-site, making it easy to change and freshen up after your visit.
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted, but there is a restaurant and cafés serving regional dishes. Alcohol can be enjoyed anywhere except in the children’s area and the spa zone.
  • Upon entry, you will receive a wristband used for all purchases, including food, drinks, and spa services. You can pay the total amount in cash or by card before leaving.
  • Each pool is filled with natural thermal water maintained between 34°C and 40°C. Information boards by the pools display the current temperature.
  • If you exceed your chosen time limit in the pool or spa zone, a fee of 1 PLN per minute applies. After 10pm, the rate increases to 2 PLN per minute.
  • For a quieter experience, visit on weekday mornings (around 9:30am) or evenings (after 5pm) during the shoulder seasons such as spring (March to May) and autumn (September to October).
